        Verdict

        Strathmore should go close but an extra furlong would be ideal and Bentley is preferred from Gone'N'Dunnett. The selection was beaten a head by Strathmore earlier this month but reopposes on 5lb better terms once Tolley Dean's claim has been taken into account. He has twice finished second since but has done precious little wrong on either occasion and deserves a change of luck. Strathmore clearly goes well here but has a far better record at around 6 furlongs than he does at this trip and could find himself tapped for toe in the closing stages although he must still be feared. Gone'N'Dunnett has had two runs over 6 since winning over this course and distance in December when ridden by today's pilot. He's on a fair mark and could give a good account today. Supreme Speedster is worth a second look as he was a useful juvenile for Kevin Ryan in 2006 and was entitled to need his return. Support for him would be of interest but Bentley is in the driving seat and can take this one.
