        Verdict

        Mick Appleby bids to win this for the third year in succession and KING OF STARS (NAP) is preferred to stablemate Lorna Cole. A maiden winner over course and distance, the former found life tough in Class 3 company back here for his handicap debut but gets another chance at this lower level. Scott Dixon also runs two with Giogiobbo looking to have the best chance having gone close over track and trip last week but Slowmo struggled last time having won here before that and is upped in class. Prolific course winner Red Stripes could bounce back at any time off his current mark.
