REBEL DUKE is taken to land this decent handicap at the main expense of Colorus and Canadian Danehill. The last-named is on a decent mark on previous form, having won from the 3lb higher mark of 91 in a course and distance handicap last year. He was still good enough to win from the same pitch on turf in the season just passed and was not disgraced here last time, so is much respected. Colorus goes well here and is another course and distance scorer. The Night Shift gelding went close from this mark here a couple of starts back and ran well again from 4lbs lower last time, so he looks booked for the frame. Fitz Flyer returns from a long absence, but if able to produce his best in this then, as one who acts with cut on turf, he could have a say. Equuleus Pictor races from the same mark as when just held here last time and on that basis should have a squeak, although consistency is not his strength. Tourist appears better over further and at Wolverhampton, and we will side with Rebel Duke. He is 4lbs better off with Equuleus Pictor and 6lbs better off with Colorus on their running behind Lesley's Choice, goes very well here, and now that those weights are more in his favour he can go in again.
