There should be little to choose between Thundering Home and FOCHABERS on their Lingfield running, but pedigree suggests that the latter will be more at home on this surface and therefore he gets our vote. Her Majesty The Queen's gelding has only a neck to find with Ed Dunlop's charge on that running, but being by Dr Fong, who liked to get his toe in, this slower surface may well bring out the best in him and he can find enough to win. Thundering Home's relatives prefer ground on the fast side of good, so although he worth a try at this track, he does have a bit more to prove. The form of Claddagh's last run here has not worked out badly at all, and he is expected to improve some more to take a hand in the finish this time, while Prince Yarraman went well enough when tried here previously and improved on that effort at Kempton last time when stepped up to this trip. Now returned to this surface he is much respected. Little else appeals on evidence thus far and FOCHABERS is the pick.
