In depth

Verdict

Division one of this bumper should go the way of Alan King's newcomer DAMMAN with fellow debutant Double Expresso also expected to go well and Simply Wings can use his experience to get into the prize money. The pick was expensive enough to suggest he will be quite useful in time and as a half-brother to five success stories including smart bumper and hurdle winner De Soto as well as some solid flat pedigree it wouldn't be a surprise to see him score at the first time of asking. Oliver Sherwood's Double Expresso should also put in a decent show on debut but although his breeding has him as winner in the future the bloodlines aren¿t as strong as the picks. Simply Wings recovered from a disastrous debut when falling in a bumper to run a solid race but his pedigree suggest we'll see him at his best when hurdling. Rebus has some promise in his bloodlines and could also be involved and as always with these bumpers the market might be our best guide but even so Damman looks a promising sort on paper.
