WATCHMAKER is taken to land the opener at the main expense of Hanbrin Bhoy and Formidable Guest. The selection won well last time, albeit in a claimer, but he has gone well here in the past in handicap company and off his current mark he looks capable of getting competitive. Hanbrin Bhoy returns to the level after a run over hurdles. He does shape as though he will make a decent chaser in time, but he won a handicap on the flat earlier in the year and he has an obvious chance of making his mark against today. Formidable Guest is thoroughly exposed but she has been in good form and looks to have solid place prospects. However, she may need some respite from the handicapper before she is able to get her head in front. Bramalea and Zero Cool are admirably consistent and it would be no surprise to see either finish in the money, but Watchmaker looks a safer bet and he is nominated as our pick.
