RED JAZZ impressed on his debut at Windsor and can see off dual-winner Archers Road and the promising Walkingonthemoon. Barry Hills has not had much success in this race in recent years but Red Jazz can remedy that. Related to several winners in the US, the selection was precocious enough to win on his debut at Windsor earlier this month. He was well-backed to do so having shown plenty at home and he could win this before heading to Royal Ascot. Walkingonthemoon may also be bound for one of the big sprints later in the season after a scintillating performance at Newbury on his debut. For a late April foal that was a very taking performance and his trainer believes that he will improve plenty for that experience. Fratellino has the services of Frankie Dettori this afternoon following a surprise 20/1 win on debut at Beverley; the form doesn't stand out but his trainer knows the family well and he shouldn't be dismissed. Archers Road already has two wins to his name, most recently in a decent novice event at Newcastle. Following on from a second in the Brocklesby, this cheap purchase has already done connections proud and he evidently acts well on quick ground. Planet Red filled second spot behind Walkingonthemoon and on quicker ground and with a pull in the weights, he looks primed to run a big race. A fascinating clash and we will side with Red Jazz.
