Angelo's Pride, Valiant Air and Atlantic Breeze are the principles in the finale and the vote is given to Angelo's Pride. The selection has proved expensive to follow but he hit the winning trail at Wolverhampton last week when defeating Fox Hollow and he looks capable of defying a penalty to score again. Valiant Air rates the main danger as this gelding from the John Weymes yard was a fair second in selling company last time behind Ceaser. He now races in handicap company for the first time and he will not be far away at the finish. Atlantic Breeze has been disappointing of late and this trip may stretch his stamina to the limit, so he looks opposable on this occasion. Princess Kiotto is another racing in handicap company for the first time but her form to date has been nothing out of the ordinary, so we are happy to stick with Angelo's Pride as the selection.
