led to halfway, remained prominent, ridden and every chance over 1f out,
chased leaders, effort over 2f out, kept on same pace
stalls opened slowly, always tailed off
always behind,
chased leaders, effort over 1f out, stayed on same pace
always behind,
held up, headway 3f out, chased leaders well over 1f out, stayed on same pace
slowly into stride, headway over 2f out, never on terms
with leader, led halfway, headed over 1f out, one pace
chased leaders, weakened halfway
with leaders, ridden and weakened over 2f out
dwelt, soon chasing leaders, ridden to challenge over 2f out, weakened over 1f out
Gaudalpin gets the vote over Sion Hill, Peggys First and Swallow Senora in the finale. Gaudalpin's only previous success came over seven furlongs here in October 2005, and as she had Swallow Senora behind in third then, she should almost certainly hold that rival on today's terms. A bigger danger then could be Sion Hill who has been placed on a couple of occasions, and hails from a stable that is always worth following on the all-weather around this time of the year. Peggy's First is more used to the Polytrack at Kempton, but if quickly adapting, is another to consider. Of the five course-and-distance winners in the line-up, preference is for Ace Club, but for the winner we return to Gaudalpin.
Ace Club 33-1 (8-12) Chased leaders until 2f out, last of 12, 6l behind Midmaar (8-13) at Kempton 6f banded stk (7) pol.
