An open finale can go the way of Astorygoeswithit, with Shava, Ask No More, and Jabbara just three others in with chances. The selection did best of those chasing home Christian Bendix last week and should appreciate the drop in trip to six furlongs today. His draw is not ideal for one who likes to race close to the pace, however he is normally sharp out of the stalls so can go well if getting a decent pitch early on. Chris Catlin looks a good jockey booking as he will be sure to get everything out of the horse towards the finish and he should go well today. Blakeshall Quest has won off 71 before so should be capable off today's mark of 54, however he hasn't looked the same horse in recent times and would need to post an improved effort to trouble the judge today. Jabbara was outpaced just four days ago at Lingfield, however he should be capable of winning off this mark of 50 and will win soon. However that may be when reverting back to seven furlongs so for that reason we will take him on today. Shava is on a feasible mark still but showed nothing when tried here before so cannot be fancied today, whilst Vlasta Viener is arguably better over the minimum trip so he too is passed over. In a race where plenty have chances, we will return to Astorygoeswithit to land the finale.
