Blackheath should have come on for his recent run so he gets the nomination ahead of Charlie Delta and Spirit Of Coniston. On jockey bookings, Blackheath looks the pick of the Dandy Nicholls pair (the other being Hamaasy). He ran a decent race over six furlongs on his reappearance and should go very close over this trip. The main danger appears to be Jim Boyle's Charlie Delta who should appreciate the return to this surface. However he appears to be better over an extra furlong so for that reason he is passed over. The Leather Wedge won this race in 2005 and despite being out-of-sorts recently, he should be accorded due respect. El Potro has a good draw and assuming that he breaks better than last time, he must have fairly solid place claims. Global Achiever should be all the better for this run after a break, so we will return to Blackheath to land the spoils.
