In depth

Verdict

This looks hugely competitive, but narrow preference is for TURN ON THE STYLE to live up to his name, at the expense of highly-rated dangers Strike Up The Band and Rowe Park. Turn On The Style has lived up to his name with seven wins on all-weather surfaces, but only once here, and his best form comes between December and February. He's among a number of course and distance winners, and if fit following a lay-off since February could reward backers. Doubtful Sound is another returning from a lengthy break. Strike Up The Band hasn't won since summer last year, and has never really got to grips with racing on an artificial surface, but you'd be quids in if you'd followed Dandy Nicholls' runners here. Rowe Park has run unsuccessfully in group company, but does better on the Polytrack than the Fibresand. This is one of those races that whatever wins it wouldn't be a surprise, but we'll side with Turn On The Style.
