None of these have ever won a race which says a fair bit about this lowly nursery, but we think the one to lose their maiden tag will come from a shortlist of We'll Deal Again, Speedyfix and KALAHARI DESERT, with preference for the last named. The selection was unplaced when tried here on his penultimate start, but that was over the minimum trip but produced a career best third when stepped up in trip with some juice in the ground at Nottingham, and further improvement could be enough to land this. The high draw would be a negative though. Speedyfix and We'll Deal Again are both better drawn. Mick Easterby's colt drops back down in trip and tries the surface for the first time. He's joint top weight, but is competitive with a seven pounds claimer on board. Christine Dunnett's on the cold list at the moment and she's 0 from 36 with her two year olds this year, but Speedyfix produced a best effort last time out to be runner up at Kempton over a similar trip despite being bumped and slowly away. With a little luck in-running on his Southwell debut, he could go one better this time. It's a trappy contest with only minimum stakes for us, but preference is for Kalarahi Desert.
