A decent field for the day’s feature. Astro Jakk and Aberama Gold were both unplaced when Mohareb won here earlier in the month but Mick Appleby’s charge failed to handle a 5lb rise on a return visit. Appleby also saddles Nigel Nott with Karl Burke also double-handed. The latter runs Shallow Hal as well as Astro Jakk but TOMMY DE VITO is the one with most scope. He’s had just the five career starts and has won on Tapeta and Polytrack, proving an absence was no problem at Kempton in October. Zarzyni was a very promising second over an inadequate 5f here on his return to action and looks a big danger.
