    Verdict

A step up in trip and a switch to the all-weather has witnessed FIRST CHARGE win three of his four outings since joining Mark Loughnane. Only 2lb higher than his latest success at Kempton, he gets the vote ahead of Khilwafy. The latter went close in an amateurs’ race at Southwell recently when ahead of Busy Street while Vis A Vis finished third at Kempton back in September and returns to action. The Dancing Poet has been hurdling having landed a double over 1m4f on the Flat last summer.
