Not a strong race on all known form. Blue Trojan comes into the reckoning based on his Wolverhampton third last time, although he missed the break that day. Drawn 14 now, he would not want to be tardy at the start but cannot be ruled out. Dugdale, a 52,000gns purchase, would not have to be exceptional to feature here. His dam was a Group 3 winner. Frimley's Matterry's Turf form is reasonable enough in the context of this race although he is making his AW debut today. Half Hunter showed some promise on his AW debut at this track but failed to follow it up next time on Turf. Molotov was third on his last run, at Wolverhampton, and is up in trip now. He too cannot be discounted. Of the others, Carmen Jones was down the field in a 7f Doncaster maiden on heavy on her sole run. However, she is quite well-bred, her dam being from the same family as Soviet Line. Sea Squall's best effort was when fourth here over six furlongs on 18 November. The winner ran to a moderate mark that day but, again, she cannot be ruled out in a modest contest. Sequin Slippers has run six times in Ireland, showing some promise, but is hard to assess. The market might prove useful in this race but, failing that, the TEAMtalk value selection is Molotov.
