As is usually the case in bumpers, there is little for backers to go on here and what can only be a tentative vote goes to Oujamaflip, who gets the verdict over Poppy Parade and Abou Ben. The last mentioned ran out the easy winner of a Newton Abbot bumper on his debut but a penalty for that success leaves Tim Vaughan's gelding with no easy task today and he is probably best left out of calculations. Point-to-point winner Tragic Realm had plenty of opportunities before landing that race and is probably best watched on his debut for Evan Williams. Malcolm Jefferson's The Panama Kid has shown some ability and any market support for him would be of interest, while Peter Bowen has his string in good form so Daison has to be respected. Anything that Nigel Twiston-Davies runs in this grade has to be respected and Poppy Parade is no exception but preference is for Carl Llewellyn's Oujamaflip, who showed plenty of promise on his Lingfield debut and is taken to step up on that and open his account today.
