Bethanys Boy has more to do under his 6lb penalty for a length defeat of Tromp last week and a better bet may be Pass The Port, who is marginally preferred to Danelor and Kylkenny. The last mentioned goes well round here and has won his last two starts but there is a suspicion that the handicapper now has his measure go Hugh Morrison's eight-year-old may be best watched now. Khanjar seemed not to stay further last time and may do better back in trip today, while Torrid Kentavr has a long absence to overcome. Danelor has been well placed to win his last two starts (both in claimers) and cannot be discounted up in grade here. Trance and Heathyards Pride are closely matched on their form here last month, form that also brings in the selection Pass The Port, but the last mentioned is now 5lbs better in for a neck with Heathyards Pride on their running here on Boxing Day and, back on this surface he is taken to reverse earlier form.
