This is better than some of the races on the card in terms of quality but no less competitive and, given recent track form, it is Mick Easterby's PROVOST that is taken to resume winning ways off an admittedly 7lb higher mark than when scoring here in March with the main threats rated as Ocean Legend and Follow The Flag. Alan McCabe's gelding showed improved form when chasing home Zennerman at Nottingham last time and has gone well here before so he has to be considered. Dean Ivory's Sovereignty has shown decent form with two recent wins at Kempton of late and he has claims but may now be a shade high in the weights. Ours has been running consistently well and should again be thereabouts, while Calahonda has struggled since winning at Great Leighs in November and now looks best watched. Tevez has seemingly lost his way and of more interest may be Ocean Legend, who ran better at Yarmouth last time and has run well here before. Provost is in good heart at present though and he is taken to win again.
