Verdict
Sand Repeal can defy topweight at the expense of Platinum Charmer, Oldenway and Buscador in the finale. Sand Repeal has won three of his last six starts, the latest of which came on the all-weather track here 18 days ago. That was over two miles when Julie Fielden's charge made the most of a decent gallop, and as long as they do not hang around here, he can strike on Turf despite the slight drop back in trip. Platinum Charmer showed that he is about to hit form when staying on strongly to be denied a head by Summer Charm at Redcar on his second outing of the campaign. Karl Burke's six-year-old is a danger along with Oldenway who faded over further here last time. His stable had a winner with Greenwich Meantime at the weekend, and so he must be added to the shortlist as well. Buscador appeared to be one paced when fifth at Wolverhampton a fortnight ago and so should benefit from the step up in trip, but all in all it is Sand Repeal that boasts the strongest form, and he is taken to follow up.
