In depth

Verdict

Johnny's Kick, Dramatic Quest and Woodview are three against the field in a competitive opener and the narrow vote is given to Johnny's Kick. The selection was a fair fifth in a better race behind Malko De Beaumont last time out, this looks easier and with the faster ground also in his favour he need only put in a clear round to score.Dramatic Quest rates the main danger on his best form but he was let down by his jumping last time so he can not be put forward with any confidence. Woodview is another worthy of respect on his best form but he has had plenty of chances in similar races without taking one and for that reason he is opposed. Captain Machell showed improved form last time out when fourth behind Ryders Storm he should improve for this longer trip and should be noted ion the market. Of the remainder Mandingo Chief hails form a yard in form and is sure to run his race but he is very onepaced and for that reason he is opposed and with this in mind for the winner we return to Johnny's KICK.
