    Verdict

David Barron does well with his runners on the Fibresand and saddles two newcomers here in the shape of Carrie's Magic and Bird Call with preference for the former of the pair, who was the more expensive purchase, but a better bet may be VERINCO, who gets the vote. Bryan Smart has his string in good form and, while the son of Bahamian Bounty has had plenty of chances and continues to disappoint, he has not had many easier assignments than this and looks worth chancing having been running well here in recent starts. Irish Music has a higher rating than the selection but has yet to prove that he handles the Fibresand and of more interest may be Derek Shaw's Fair Passion, who is less exposed than most of these after just two starts. The Stuart Williams-trained Rain On The Wind has the highest rating of those to have earned one but he is another yet to have raced on the Fibresand, while Michael Squance's Lady Brickhouse has run promisingly here before and has to be considered. She does need to step up on previous form to trouble the selection though who is Verinco.
