Couldn't Could She made a winning start on this surface with last month’s course and distance success. The form has worked out well with third-placed Mr Carbonator going on to score at Wolverhampton but it could pay to stick with HELEN SHERBET in this. The latter made every yard to win by over three lengths over 7f here last time and Karl Burke’s filly is taken to defy a 7lb rise. Sharp Reminder has been thereabouts this winter but debuts on the Fibresand while Ipcress File was well beaten in a maiden race here back in November.
Helen Sherbet 25-1 (8-11) Made all, ridden 2f out, clear when hung left over 1f out, ran on well, unchallenged, won at Southwell 7f hcp (4) pol in Jan beating Papa Stour (9-10) by 3 1/2l, 5 ran.
Sharp Reminder 7-2 (9-4) Prominent, led after 1f and dictated steady pace, ridden strongly pressed and kept on inside final furlong, headed and no extra final 50 yards, 4th of 8, 1 1/4l behind Bachelor (9-7) at Kempton 1m hcp (4) pol in Jan.
Couldn't Could She 12-1 (9-0) Tracked leaders, ridden to lead 2f out, soon clear, ran on, won at Southwell 1m (6) pol in Dec beating Felisa (9-6) by 3l, 12 ran.
Mr Carbonator 4-1 (9-3) Mid-division, headway from 4f out, led over 1f out, hard pressed inside final furlong, just prevailed, won at Wolverhampton 1m 1f hcp (6) pol in Jan beating Mouchee (9-5) by ns, 11 ran.
