      Verdict

      The betting may provide the best clue to the chances of the newcomers, with McBirney and Stand Beside Me making most appeal on breeding. King Bertolini improved on his debut effort when third here last time but was still well beaten and this looks between Eilean Mor and CHRISTMAS ARIA. The former has gone close on turf on more than one occasion but is more exposed than Simon Dow's colt. The latter just failed to get the better of Palais Glide at Lingfield recently and, if handling the Fibresand, looks the one to beat.
