In depth

Verdict

Alchemystique has failed to complete since landing a 2m maiden hurdle on good ground here in November but Jersey Lady won a Hereford maiden in October on fast going and has competed at a higher level than this subsequently. Winning point-to-pointer DOYEN LA LUTTE looked like winning a Wincanton handicap at this level before run out of it on the run-in and is preferred to winning bumper Starlyte, who had an ambitious entry in a Doncaster Listed race last time. Flintara opened her account in a novices' handicap at Uttoxeter, though that was on soft ground, and none of the remainder can be dismissed in a competitive handicap.
