In depth

Verdict

Candyman Can hasn’t run since winning off a 6lb lower mark at Newton Abbot last July but has had wind surgery in the interim and wears cheekpieces for the first time today. Eros has been very consistent since switching to fences but finished behind Doyannie at Exeter in January and has nothing in hand over FOLLY GATE on the form book with Jane Williams’ gelding possibly having a bit more scope. Ambion Hill has been eased a little in the weights and looks best of the rest.
