    Verdict

Up Tempo is preferred to Byo and Soba Jones. Kevin Ryan's representative is officially clear on the BHB figures and while his mark of 66 is none-too-generous from a formbook perspective - he has obvious chances when campaigned at this level. His better runs have come at Wolverhampton so it will be interesting to see if the bookmakers elect to take him on. Byo finished a neck behind when the pair met at Wolverhampton over the trip. Byo has plenty of early speed and will doubtless attempt to burst clear from the gate. Soba Jones has been in good heart over the winter. He has a few pounds to find on official figures but does at least have an aptitude for the Southwell surface. Sir Sandrovitch looks to be on the downgrade. Government and Roko are difficult to make cases for. Up Tempo has a few doubts about the surface but has the class to win today's event.
