The in form Jug Of Punch and and Heron's Ghyll are two to consider here but we will take a chance on the fitness of Cristophe. Peter Bowen's gelding is lightly raced for an eight-year-old and has won following a lay off in the past. The last time he saw a racecourse was in June 2004 when fifth to the smart Mr Ed in a class B event. This is a much easier contest and if retaining that sort of ability he will be hard to beat. Jug Of Punch comes here following a facile victory in a Ludlow seller. He has a nice racing weight and there could be plenty more to come. Heron's Ghyll finished second to a well treated handicap debutante last time and appears to be on the upgrade, some place money beckons. The pick of the others could be Prestbury Knight, but if Cristophe can recapture his best form he will be a tough nut to crack.
