The vote here goes to Blanc Visage ahead of Snowy Day, Webbow and Burton Ash. Webbow defied his odds to run second to Fiddlers Wood at Wolverhampton last time and, if taking to the surface, looks to hold a decent chance if building slightly on that run. Burton Ash has proven that he can go well in handicaps from 60-plus marks, and that is good enough to give him place claims, while Blanc Visage's second to Lucky Lark at Wolverhampton rates as, arguably, the best form on offer. That's what we reckon anyway and that is why he is the selection. Given his trainer's good all-weather record, Snowy Day rates as very interesting on his debut, and his breeding catches the eye too, but Bahhmirage, Dangermouse and Contented, whose best previous run came over course and distance, all seem to need to find improvement if they are to play leading parts today. Not so with Blanc Visage, who gets the vote.
