David Loder has found a very ordinary maiden in which to introduce Turnstone, who is fancied to get off the mark at the first time of asking. Neil's Legacy and Westcote are others to note in the betting, while Bahamian Spring will also be dangerous to dismiss if supported. Loder already knows plenty about the last mentioned, having trained him for his first two starts. The three-year-old was snapped up for ¿6,000 by Derek Shaw after he finished second in a seller at Wolverhampton earlier in the month and, with that experience fresh in his mind, he should go close if the headgear works again. Neil's Legacy fared well in a stronger race when he was last seen out and he can be expected to play a leading role if he has trained on. However, he needs this run for a handicap mark and his future appears to lay in that area. Westcote shaped with promise on several occasions when she was with Criquette Head-Maarek in France and is respected in this company. She ran as if in need of the outing on her debut for Kevin Ryan just over a week ago and has to be on the shortlist here. However, she, like Shadow Jumper, is well exposed and vulnerable to a potential improver. Which comes in the shape of Turnstone this afternoon. It is worth bearing in mind that the gelding's owners hold a fifty percent strike-rate with their runners this season, all of which have been unexposed three-year-olds, who have been placed to good effect. Therefore, the placement of Turnstone looks to be a well thought out plan today, as he will not have to be anything out of the ordinary to hold the rest this afternoon.
