The standard of quality on the card is maintained here, with the admirable Massey standing out as the one to be on. Repeat and Dispol Peto have to be considered as live dangers at this level and both look sure to be involved in the shake-up, whereas it will be no surprise to see more use made of Plum as she bids to get closer to Dispol Peto today. The last named won a weak handicap here a fortnight ago and can pose the selection the most problems if still in the same frame of mind. However, the Ian Emmerson-trained gelding has very rarely run two races the same and can be a frustrating character to have dealings with. Therefore, Massey looks a far more reliable option today. A previous course and distance winner that has been taking on much stronger opponents of late, Massey has nothing to prove to anyone at this stage of his career. Which makes his case all the stronger in this company if the return to seven furlongs does not inconvenience him.
