Desert Spa has an obvious chance off just a 5lb higher mark than when successful at Hereford last time but has yet to prove his effectiveness on a surface as soft as this and preference is for Margarets Wish, who gets the verdict over Blue Leader. The last mentioned is a consistent performer in this grade and is entitled to be thereabouts but is held by the selection on running over course and distance and having been raised just 7lbs since then Margarets Wish is hard to oppose. Top weight Jayed faces no easy task giving weight away all round on his return to action following along break and of more interest may be the lightly raced trio of Compton Star, Go Green and Gold Fervour, who all make their debuts in a handicap in the lowest grade. Margarets Wish holds solid claims on the evidence of her last time out success here though and she gets the vote.
