A small turn out for this selling event that could fall to Ipledgeallegiance, with Platinum Charmer and Shatin Special expected to be fighting for the runners-up berth. David Chapman's eight-year-old is nowhere near the same force of a couple of years ago when racing of a mark of a hundred, but showed enough over course and distance this month when second to King Priam to suggest he is still capable of landing a race of this nature. Platinum Charmer will be a tough nut to crack having returned to his best last week when making Coolfore Jade pull out all the stops in a similar event to today's. Shatin Special made a promising course debut earlier this month when a close up fifth behind Daunted in handicap event and can make her presence felt in this company. Lapadar and Behan make up the field but both need to step up on previous efforts and we return to Ipledgeallegiance for the selection.
