In depth

Verdict

Weakest Link might in fact be the strongest here, with Daring Affair and Dispol Veleta two of his main rivals Weakest Link was down the field on his debut for Sally Hall at Doncaster, and although firmly put in his place by Modesty Blaise at Wolverhampton on his first outing for Willie Jarvis, showed more than enough win a race of this nature. The gelded son of Mind Games will appreciate being dropped back to six furlongs and can go close. The filly Daring Affair was no match for Blofeld over the course and distance before Christmas but that was still a good effort and a repeat would see her in the shake-up. Dispol Veleta comes from a stable that are always to be feared on the fibresand and although drawn even wider than the previous pair mentioned, should improve on her third over track and trip a fortnight ago. They appear to be the main contenders, with Weakest Link selected as best of the trio.
