Countrywide Girl won well last time and is put forward as the one to beat with Tiny Tim, Bronx Bomber and Magic Eagle those most likely to push our selection close. The mare from the Alan Berry yard won in good style last time in this grade at Wolverhampton when defeating Ben Kenobi. That was her first win since 2001 but she is clearly in good heart at present and she looks worth supporting now that she has regained the winning thread. Bronx Bomber beat Tiny Tim by a length-and-three-quarters last time but the latter is 6lbs better off at the weights here and there is no guarantee that the blinkers will work as well again with Bronx Bomber. Magic Eagle is the only course and distance winner in the field but he hasn't won since 2001 so the percentage call is to take him on. This is an open race but Countrywide Girl is in good form and as such is put forward as the one to beat.
