Recent course and distance winner Reivers Moon looks to have picked an easy opportunity to follow up on that success, when soundly beating Hope Sound, and gets the vote over Algenon and Lake 'O' Gold. Rievers Moon is a horse that is improving with experience and in such a poor race, given a clear round he will reward his supporters. The Ferdy Murphy trained Algenon has the services of Tony Dobbin on his hurdles debut and should be taken into consideration. He has shown enough in three bumpers to suggest he has the ability to win a contest of this nature but maybe best watched this time. Lake 'O' Gold was flattered to finish third in a below-par hurdle race at Worcester last time out. The fact that only four ran and he was beaten a distance suggests he has to improve ten fold to figure here. This is without doubt a poor contest with only one realistic winner in Reivers Moon.
