Mustmeetalady landed a similar race to this at Wetherby before stepping into a Class 2 handicap at Carlisle and running well for a long way. But AMIDON had smart form in better company than this last season so it was no surprise when he was well supported on his reappearance at Ascot only to fluff his lines and finish in midpack. He will need to do much better than that, but hopefully compensation awaits. Battle Dust was bought for £25,000 after easily landing a point to point at Dungarven in January while Swizzler scored between the flags at Curraheen and was still in touch when falling on his hurdling debut at Aintree last month. Crosspark is another winner between the flags who could be anything though this looks a tough start to his life under Rules.
