In depth

Verdict

TAKEOVER BID is the suggestion here ahead of Lesley's Choice and Fesko. Noodles Blue Boy made a winning start to last season and has been given a chance by the handicapper but Rio Cobolo appears to be handicapped up to his best and may have to settle for a minor role. Lesley's Choice won a four runner race very easily at Kempton but there must be some doubt as to the worth of the form and the young apprentice that takes the ride has ridden few winners. Fesko has already scored over course and distance and looks capable of scoring again from his current mark following a decent effort at Wolverhampton. Preference for his stablemate is only marginal as it was reasonable to have expected him to have performed a shade better at Wolverhampton last time but the first two home are progressive so perhaps he shouldn't be judged too harshly. He had run on well to win here prior to that and Takeover Bid can do so again.
