It's hard to imagine a race less inspiring than this and we will tentatively side with Rag Week to beat Our Man Dennis to very small stakes. Rag Week has at least been in some sort of form of late, which is not something you can say about many of the others. A couple of pointing wins since moving over from Ireland were followed by a four length defeat over course and distance last time out, when he showed a deal of promise until tiring after the last. A repeat of that effort looks likely to be good enough to see off some out of touch opponents. Hardly any of the others make any sort of appeal, and Our Man Dennis can be the one to chase home the selection. A bona fide one pacer, Our Man Dennis ran well enough here when third to old timer Weaver George in May before a sharpish rise in the weights found him out on his two latest starts. He is at least a safe proposition to get round, stays this trip well and he looks good enough to be involved. The selection in a race that is hardly likely to live long in the memory, is Rag Week.
