Verdict
Just the six turn up for this competitive handicap and although Nightjar is given every chance with his track record to call on we just go for BEL CANTOR on the proviso he can get an easy lead and dictate, with Transmission making the list with his yard in cracking form. Better over the sprint distances the selection won twice over the minimum trip last campaign including on this surface. He just about gets this far but there's a strong possibility he can lead and off his mark they may not reel him in. If the plan fails for the pick then Nighjar looks poised to take advantage. He's won four from nine starts at this track including three over this trip and he continues to run well off this sort of weight. Transmission has a bit to do from three pounds out of the handicap but he bettered previous form when finishing third last time and his best might be good enough to worry the protagonists. Seek The Fair Land was expected to do better last time and has some decent looking form in recent start but with this his first time on this surface we prefer Bel Cantor, who will probably get the easy lead.
