Verdict

Sparkling Montjeu would have a decent chance here if turning up but she ran over the sticks on Wednesday and so may not take her chance, and under that assumption we will take PIVERINA to score. Julie Camacho's filly has dropped to a lowly mark of 48, but she has run well enough in context over this trip on her last two starts and she handles slower ground on turf, so there is hope that she can do better than her last try on the Fibresand and we will tentatively suggest her. Bollin Freddie tries this surface for the first time and is not one to dismiss readily, but he does give the impression that 10f is his optimum so he still has a bit to prove. Turkish Sultan has stamina to prove and is not certain to stay this far and Elaala looks a more serious threat after some good recent form over the sticks, and she has won here over 1m 6f in the past. Intensifier might well be sharpened up by first time headgear but has not yet convinced around here and in a race that should not be dwelt upon we'll suggest Piverina.
