The stalls are set at the seven furlong marker for the fourth time in five races for this maiden, where TAQDEYR looks set to get his career off the mark. Michael Jarvis returns a profit with relatively few runners on the Fibresand and Taqdeyr can help boost the coffers of his supporters. The Dubai Destination colt went well over a mile on debut just up the road at Nottingham before going even closer over 6f last time. Tried over 7f here there are no issues with trip and unless he really does not take to the surface he looks the most likely winner. Edmondstown Lass has just over two lengths to find with the selection on their Redcar running behind Medici Time and if she can reproduce that effort then prize money awaits, though she doesn't look likely to find as much improvement. Balata returns from hurdling and has enough form on the level to suggest that he could get involved if handling the surface. Superior Duchess could find improvement but this run will establish her handicap mark and it may be prudent to wait for her to turn up in that sphere before taking a financial interest. Wannarock would be of more interest if the yard were in better shape and is one worth noting for the future, but for today we'll take Taqdeyr to score.
