Kabeer is selected ahead of Peruvian Prince and Top Mark. Kabeer is far from the most reliable of horses but there was enough to be gleaned from a near miss at Lingfield to suggest that his turn was not that far away. The eight-year-old has demonstrated much better form on the artifical surfaces than on turf and today could be the day. Peruvian Prince appeared to appreciate a drop in trip at Wolverhampton and is less exposed than most. Richard Fahey's charge is dropped a further furlong to contest this event. Top Mark is conversely upped in trip following failures over seven and first time eye-shields are on. The Jim Boyle yard are in form so the market is watched. Never Will has not been sighted since joining current connections and may be best watched. Startori has had a disappointing season over further and is in the last chance saloon here. Red Contact performed well on a first run for Allan Dickman and it would be no surprise to see further improvement. Supreme Charter is a doubtful runner. Kabeer gets the nod in the finale.
