Verdict

PETROU went close over these hurdles last June and was having his first start since when scoring at Stratford on his debut for Dan Skelton. There looks more to come from him and he can go close again. Mr Fenton was well beaten in a novices hurdle last time despite finishing second and goes handicapping for the first time while Marvellous Monty has found one too good the last twice now and remains a maiden.
