Kirkie showed improved form when finding just Helping Hand too good in a six furlong maiden here last time and has to be respected on that evidence but more solid claims are held by Key News, who gets the vote with Pentathlon rated the pick of the remainder. The selection found just Benedict Spirit too good in a course and distance maiden on her debut in January and the Michael Jarvis-trained filly has solid claims of going one better today and she gets the vote. Ocean Legend has shown a consistent level of form but probably needs to improve to trouble the judge, while Boss Hog has shown a similar level of form on both starts and should again be thereabouts. A market move for the newcomer Murcar would be of interest but a bigger threat could be Mark Johnston's Pentathlon, who should be suited by the Fibresand and can be expected to improve for his debut outing on the Polytrack with the change in surface. This is an interesting maiden but Key News is the one that gets the vote.
