chased leaders to 3f out, soon ridden, kept on one pace
led after 1f, ridden and headed 2f out, soon weakened
led 1f, chased leader, ridden and lost place 2f out, soon weakened
chased leaders, headway 3f out, ridden over 1f out, stayed on well under pressure to lead well inside final furlong
always prominent, led 2f out, ridden over 1f out, headed and no extra well inside final furlong
chased leaders, ridden and every chance 2f out, not quicken inside final furlong
always behind and outpaced, tailed off final 2f
dwelt, behind, headway under pressure 3f out, soon ridden, kept on one pace
Legal Set seems to be getting the hang of things of late, but a word of caution-Karl Burke's seven-year-old has only ever appeared at Southwell once and was well beaten. He is much better on the faster Polytrack surface and might not be the good thing that he first appears to be. With that in mind, Night Shift Blues could be the call. Something of a standing dish at Southwell, he showed clear signs that his turn was near when just touched off by Dil last time. Superapparos is held on that form, and with nothing else making any appeal, Night Shift Blues gets the nod.
