Verdict

It's only a seller but it's the most important race of the day as racing welcomes Brian Toomey back into the fold after the most horrific of accidents. The sole concern is that he comes back safely but KINGS GREY (NAP) clearly has an outstanding chance of providing him with a comeback winner. Philip Kirby's charge drops to this very modest hurdling level on the back of victory in a decent Aintree chase and hopefully can outclass this opposition and land what would be a universally popular winner. He won't have it all his own way though as Oneofapear is a fair enough sort at a level above this and is also performing creditably at present. Novel Dancer, lightly-raced over timber, is next best.
