A collection of what might be dubbed 'characters' assemble for the opener. Mac's Grey finally notched his first career success by the minimum distance at Market Rasen but doesn't remain the most convincing and a 7lb penalty may prove his undoing here. No No Cardinal achieved the same feat when scoring at Newton Abbot but was then beaten over 70 lengths when backed into favouritism for a repeat success at the same venue. Lord Lir is still a maiden but running well enough and his turn may be imminent but TABLE BLUFF is the most reliable of these, ran really well last time here when beaten under a length by Moonlight Maggie and can concede weight all round. Do make a note of Walden Prince as David Bridgewater is making a habit of doing well with inmates moving in from other yards.
