Magic Red can post a quick follow-up success although Paddy Mul and Simple Ideals are respected. With The Celt breaking down in his race three days ago, quite how good Magic Red's form is is something open to question. That said, he did it well and is at least at the right end of the handicap and he therefore gets our recommendation. Paddy Mul is another to be turned out under a penalty. Wilf Storey is a past master of training stayers but it has to be a worry that this horse could not win banded races around here and we oppose. Simple Ideals is fully exposed on the turf but has had little racing on artificial surfaces. The ten-year-old ran a fair race at Redcar from a long way out of the handicap and is watched here in case of any market support. Our Imperial Bay and Next Flight have to reverse form with their recent conquerors. Ipledgealleigance has been very expensive to follow while Dora Corbino has bits and pieces of form in Banded stakes that could offer an each-way chance.
