Yankeedoodledandy can win again, with Myannabanana, Red Lancer and Lady Bahia looking best of the rest. The Pat Haslam-trained selection has won two of his last three races and risen 20lbs in the ratings as a consequence. However, he won well from a mark of 57 last time and now races from 65 but his talented rider claims seven. He looks the one to beat again. The selection and Myannabanana are the only two course winners in the race. The last-named won from a mark of 60 in November and now races from a mark of 63. However, his rider claims seven and the colt will be trying this 11-furlong trip for the first time. His dam won from 10 to 14 furlongs so it could bring improvement, although his best form to date, in just a 13-race career, has come at mile. Red Lancer was having his first run for a new trainer, and his first since October when sixth at Wolverhampton last time. He is entitled to be improving although he is untried on the Southwell surface. Lady Bahia showed improved form when winning well here on Tuesday so has to be respected if turning out again Nocatee was staying on over Wolverhampton's nine-and-a-half furlongs last time but that was his first real form to date. By the way, he's a stable companion of the selection. Killing Me Softly has raced only three times but has won a seller at Wolverhampton. He's entitled to be improving but we prefer the credentials of one or two others. Most of all of these we like Yankeedoodledandy.
